Relay For Life

Relay for Life is a volunteer driven fundraiser for the American Cancer society. It is currently held in over 21 countries, with the most popular being the United States of America. Typically held once a year by various organizations across the nation, Relay for Life is responsible for raising over $3 billion dollars to help fund cancer research. The events tend to be 24 hour long events, in which teams of 8-15 take turns walking laps. The event is meant to raise money for and raise awareness of cancer, celebrate survivors, remember those who lost their battle, and encourage those who are currently fighting.
